pikselbiz

Est. 10 June 2002 — İstanbul → Hamburg

A distinguished group of companies.

Forty years of computing. Four divisions. A few billion pixels shipped. And a total headcount of exactly one: Recep Cinet, independent since before it was cool.

Not a corporation pretending to be a person — a person occasionally pretending to be a corporation.

Newsroom — Corporate Announcements

Forty years of press releases nobody asked for.

PendingAny day now

Founder becomes rich in one day.

A statement has been drafted and kept ready since the Atari years: "I have been working forty years to get rich in one day." This release will be published the moment one of the games takes off. The entire team (one person) thanks you for your patience.

2026Hamburg, DE

Piksel Group relocates global headquarters to Hamburg, Germany.

One hundred percent of staff (one person) completed the move successfully; the office remains a laptop. The Group's proud tradition of unhurried bestsellers continues uninterrupted — now with German efficiency and Turkish stubbornness.

2025Türkiye

Board votes 1–0 to relocate.

With the local games industry energised by one ban after another — Discord, PayPal, whatever was next — the Board resolved unanimously that pixels ship better from Hamburg.

2015–2025Kayalar Studios

A village ships a starship: Vooyager.

A team assembled in the village releases Vooyager, followed by an entire catalogue at utopicgames.com. Every title shipped on time and on budget; revenue remained a planned feature.

2015utopicgames.com

Utopic Games founded. First hit promptly not released.

After two years of work, Boulder Dash: Rockford Army stood finished and ready for iPhone — and stayed there, unreleased, over licensing disagreements. Analysts still rate it the Group's most successful game never to come out.

2012Kayalar, Ayvacık

Global headquarters relocate to a village.

The Group moves to Kayalar, Ayvacık, and keeps serving TEKNOmart remotely — pioneering remote work roughly a decade before the rest of the industry discovered it.

2006TEKNOmart

Strategic partnership with TEKNOmart.

The founder joins as software developer and technical consultant, opening the Group's longest bull market to date: a steady salary.

2002İstanbul

Piksel Bilgisayar founded. piksel.biz acquired.

Leaving 64k, the founder establishes Piksel Bilgisayar — and the Group's headcount reaches its permanent all-time high: one. The company did not succeed; the domain never stopped. Twenty-four years later, you are reading this on it.

199764k.net

Three demosceners incorporate: 64k is born.

Cem Günal, Recep Cinet and Umut Çelenli found 64k — web design, CD-ROM programming, big plans — and register 64k.net. The company didn't last; the friendship did, and still does. The domain outlived the plans too, and today serves 150+ free tools.

1992Atari XL/XE

R&D begins: Turkish Atari Coding Freaks.

Long before the companies, four kids — Cem, Emre, Recep, Umut — ship Atari demos under the TACF banner. One of them is titled "Oh My Dot!". The Group has, in a sense, been staring at a single pixel ever since.

The Name

Recep Cinet®*

Utopic Games, 64k.net, Amadunia, piksel.biz — different signs on the same door. Behind every one of them, the same name. Shipping pixels since the Atari demoscene, on Steam as a one-man studio, in Hamburg as of 2026. Follow the name and you will always find the pixels.

*also the CTO, CFO, HR department, janitor and the guy who makes the coffee.
